[edit] Biography
Though she’s only been in the business for a short while, Cameron Russell has quickly established herself as one of the hottest new models to hit the scene in quite some time.[citation needed] Born in Boston and raised in Cambridge, Cameron was discovered in 2003 by an agent while vacationing with her family in Maine. She kicked off her career at the tender age of 16, and it wasn’t long before the aspiring superstar was booking gigs for such esteemed names as Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein. In 2007, Cameron signed with the prestigious dna models agency, home to such familiar faces as Adriana Lima, Raquel Zimmerman and Amber Valletta.

But unlike the majority of her modeling contemporaries, Cameron remains devoted to her education and is currently enrolled at Columbia University in New York (she’s expected to graduate in 2010). Cameron also maintains a blog entitled “Funny and Interesting,” which consists primarily of short, true-life stories in which she muses about her various day-to-day encounters (i.e., one of her posts revolved around her encounter with a pair of well-to-do kids running a lemonade stand). But in the immediate future, Cameron hopes to make the most out of her modeling career. “The salary is what keeps everyone doing it,” she says. “But really, what modeling does is open a number of doors that young people normally don’t have access to.”
